先日、東京コンテンツマーケット２００８というイベントを見に、六本木ヒルズへ行って来ました。このイベントは、アニメ会社やクリエイター達がオリジナル作品を売り出す見本市。。。なのだそうです。
実は、ひょんなことから菁映社さんのスペースをお借りしてイラストを展示しても良いというお話しを頂き、参加させて頂きました。「日本人はウサギ小屋みたいな住居に住んでいる」と日本を表現した欧米の言葉から描いた１枚。個人的には電車の中で揃って眠り込み、駅へ着くとパっ！と起きて「うさぎ小屋」へ帰る、そんな日本人が好きで描いたんですけどね。
イベント会場では出品しているクリエイターさん達とのお喋りの他、色々グッズが貰えてが楽しかったです。

I recently went to the Tokyo Contents Market 2008 at Roppongi Hills, which is a fair for animation companies and creators. I was given the chance to show some of my work through Seiei-sha, so I exhibited Tokyo Rabbits, an illustration I did about Japanese people living in 'rabbit hutches,' an expression I've heard used by foreigners. I quite like this Japanese habit of sleeping on the train, then waking up at their station and going back to their 'rabbit hutches'... I really enjoyed chatting with other creators and got load of goodies. Thanks Mr Hatarei, for the great opportunity!
